Our Materials
We think you should know exactly what goes into what you wear. So here it is.

OUR SOURCING PHILOSOPHY
We intentionally build our collections around premium, low-impact textiles focusing on regenerative fibers like hemp, bamboo, lyocell and organic cotton. We prioritize minimally processed, plant-based materials that offer incredible durability, natural breathability, and a soft, lived-in feel from the very first wear.

CLEAN CHEMISTRY
Color shouldn't come at the cost of the environment or your skin. We strictly vet our manufacturing partners to ensure the use of non-toxic, safe textile chemistry and responsible dye practices. By opting for clean processing and small-batch production, we significantly minimize water waste and completely avoid harmful chemical runoffs.
OUR STANCE ON CERTIFICATIONS
LESNORM as a brand does not yet hold independent GOTS or OEKO-TEX brand-level certifications. Our fabric and dye suppliers do. Brand certification requires minimum order quantities that we haven't reached yet as a small-batch brand.
We source as responsibly as we can verify, we tell you exactly what we know and what we don't, and we publish what we have so you can judge for yourself.
We are working toward brand-level certifications as our volumes grow. When we get there, you'll know.
HARDWARE & DETAILS
BUTTONS
Natural coconut shell, harvested as a byproduct. No synthetic resin. Each button has a slightly unique grain which is not a defect, that's the material.
Zippers
Where our dresses close with a zip, we use YKK, the global standard for zip quality. Durable, smooth, built to last the life of the garment.
THREAD
We use a polyester-cotton blend thread for stitching. Organic cotton thread exists, but it doesn't have the tensile strength needed for seams that hold through years of wear. We made a deliberate choice. Durability over an absolute eco-label. We'd rather tell you than pretend otherwise.
